So some basic physical fitness like squatting, Mountain climbers ( which can be done at home), running, biking, stair climbing, and swimming will help a lot to do trekking in the mountains, so it is highly recommended 2/3 months before you depart for the trekking or mountaineering.
(2)Foods and Drinks
While in the mountains, it is highly recommended you drink plenty of fluids like water, soups, and teas as well as food. We will provide sufficient and hygienic food as per your choice for the whole trek. However, some private snacks such as chocolate bars, and cookies are also highly recommended which you can take from Kathmandu or you can buy on the way in lodges or in shops.
(3)Drinking water
One should drink at least 3-4 liters of water every day to get hydrated the body which helps a lot to be away from altitude sickness. We highly recommend you carry the reusable water bottle and buy boiled water in lodges/teahouses which also makes your sleeping bag very warm while going to bed, to use Sterpin or take chlorine or iodine tablets to purify the drinking water.
(4)Best time to Travel
Spring ( Mar-May)and Autumn ( Sep- Nov) are known as the best months to trek in Nepal because of the stable clear dry skies that permit one to enjoy the spectacular mountain views but most lodges, hotels, and trails are busy and crowded. Spring season is pleasant and suitable with warm temperatures for trekking and climbing the big mountains as well, so there will be many groups to climb the Makalu world's fifth highest mountain. Until the end of October, the temperature will be mild and cold. Weather will be stable with a clear blue sky, dry.
Winter and summer are also good if you prefer less crowdy, and are ready to face some challenges like snow, cold, and rain. Even in winter weather will always be clear but these three months are the coldest months of the year and sometimes snow falls. In Summer, It is very good to go trekking, the temperature will be warm, those who are keen to botanist, summer is the best but due to unstable weather the views of mountains are scarce.
(5) Altitude Sickness
Trekking in Makalu region is one of the highest trekking in Nepal. In high altitudes, the mass of oxygen will be less, so everyone finds it difficult to breathe and has mild headaches, dizziness, etc. This is one of the biggest challenges in the mountains. In the altitude, there are many rules to make our body adaptable to the altitude. Acclimatization is one of the important factors to adjust our body to get used to the altitude. All our itineraries are designed with proper acclimatization days for every 1000 meters of climbing. The most important rules that we have to follow in altitude are to stroll, keep drinking plenty of fluids such as water, soups, etc to make our body hydrated, and keep our body warm. Our staff and guide will always do their best as they can, even though in case of any sickness or injury one should avoid their rest trip and should come down.
(6)Travel Insurance
It is compulsory to buy the proper travel insurance policy with a genuine insurance company, it should cover the emergency helicopter evacuation as well as medical treatment in case of severe injury or sickness and the Policy should include coverage at altitudes up to 6000 Mtr.
(7)Bag pack and duffel bag
Our duffel bag should be a maximum of 15kg including the handbag. Only the necessary things should be packed and the stuff that is not necessary on the trek will be stored in a hotel in Kathmandu. One porter will carry a max of 30 Kg, among two clients one porter will be provided.
(8)Internet Connectivity and cell phone Signal
Upon your arrival at Kathmandu airport, there you can buy a Nepalese Sim card cell or you can buy anywhere around the city. In the Makalu region, there are cell phone and internet facilities that are rare. Our guide will have a satellite telephone in case of emergency.
(9)Flight to /From Tumlingtar
Suketar is the main gateway to Makalu region trek Tumlingtar which is also the ending point of this trek. Flights to Tumlingtar are dependable on the weather, mountain weather is always unpredictable. So in in case of bad weather, we have to keep the 2/3 days extra so as not to cancel the trip. In the case of a less visible aeroplane, the helicopter can be hired but the cost will be double than aeroplane fare.
(10)Sanitation
In most places, toilets are common and need to use the same toilet used by everyone else. Mostly there may not be available hand washing water, so highly recommend taking hand sanitizer by yourself. Most importantly, toilet paper or wet tissue paper should always be in your day bag.

The guide is the key factor for every challenge in the mountain so one should follow the instructions of the guide pleasantly. Every day after dinner your guide will do a brief about the next day's trip.
